When the Institute for Development, Evaluation, Assistance and Solutions (IDEAS) engaged Yaberra Consulting, their flagship website was unable to surface the organization’s current focus on helping immigrant entrepreneurs and small business in Mexico thrive. Potential donors also struggled to find a clear pathway to giving. Operating on a tight budget, we launched a clean, mobile-friendly WordPress subdomain; migrantbusinessmexico.ideasnet.org, so that visitors interested in helping struggling Immigrant Entrepreneurs would arrive on a purpose-built experience rather than wade through a unrelated web pages.

Emory Global Health Institute: Turning Disparate Data into Actionable Insight

Emory University’s Global Health Institute (EGHI) recognized that its most vital metrics, from program outputs in West Africa to field-clinic lab results and funding data were scattered across disconnected systems and difficult to access, so they set out to build an interactive visual map that would centralize and simplify access to this information. Yaberra Consulting was engaged to consolidate this fragmented data into a single source of truth, enabling researchers, program leaders, and key stakeholders to see at a glance each project’s status, resource allocations, and highest-impact investments.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, New York City’s Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DOHMH) faced surging demand on its Vital Records website, which serves all 8.3 million residents seeking birth, death, marriage, and divorce certificates. With navigation that confused users, language barriers that excluded non-English speakers, and information overload that stalled even simple requests. I worked under the CDC Foundation as part of surge workforce stationed with DOHMH. I was to deliver an accessible, user-friendly redesign capable of scaling through critical periods of the pandemic.
