Emory Global Health Institute: Turning Disparate Data into Actionable Insight

Client: Emory Global Health Institute

Duration: 3 Months

Year: 2025

The Challenge

Emory University’s Global Health Institute faced a key data dilemma: crucial metrics from field operations to funding streams were scattered across siloed systems. This fragmentation limited visibility, slowed decision-making, and undermined stakeholders’ ability to align projects with strategic goals or track progress in real time.

Our Solution

Yaberra Consulting unified these disparate data sources into a single, interactive Tableau dashboard. We performed a full data audit, centralized metrics in a standardized platform, and designed a clickable “Global Impact Map” that helped researchers and leaders see each project’s footprint, performance, and impact at a glance.

Project Scope

Implementation Summary

We began by cataloging data sources and conducting stakeholder interviews to clarify objectives. From there, we launched a cleaning and deduplication process, consolidating relevant datasets into Tableau Salesforce. The goal: transform scattered information into a single source of truth for internal teams and leadership.

Our team built an interactive dashboard allowing users to explore research activities, funding channels, field outcomes, and geolocated program data. To bring this data to life, we prototyped a Global Impact Map, enabling users to click any country and view project-level insights. This design, developed in Adobe Creative Cloud, was met with enthusiastic buy-in during early demonstrations.

While the public rollout was postponed due to shifting priorities, the dashboard’s architecture remains scalable, making it easy to activate broader access when resources allow.
